"It massages me and you"
マーシャルマクルーハン曰く、メディアはそれそのものだけでメッセージを持っている。同様の内容を含むコンテンツであってもそれを載せる媒体によってそれが指し示す意味は有機的に変わり、時には大きな誤解を生むこととなる。今作のシリーズは未完成の絵、拾ったメモなど複数の収集されたイメージの中から、レタッチを経てキャンバスにプリントし絵画のメディウムへと擬態させることを目的としている
"It massages me and you"
According to Herbert Marshall McLuhan, any medium in and of itself has a message. Even if some contents are comprised of similar subjects, the meaning that they indicate change organically depending on the medium through which they are delivered, sometimes even leading to a significant misunderstanding. This series aims to imitate a collection of found images - of unfinished paintings or notes the artist found on the street - into the medium of painting, by retouching and printing them on canvas.
